Be Here Now: Live Guided Yoga Nidra and Talk

Modern living is full of preoccupation and distraction, which from time to time may lead us to feel like we are caught in a maelstrom of information and duty. Yet might there be a way to shrug off all this intensity and slow down, whilst becoming deeply centred and present in the moment?

Join James as we explore together a variety of inquiries and practices designed to help you arrive in the now. The event will be recorded and sent to all those of you who wish to attend but can’t attend the event in real-time.

The session will cover:

Focus: Explore stages of attention training that will alleviate any feelings of frustration or disappointment. Discover how to slowly build your attention muscles over time, leading to a stable and steady focus.

Tethering To Sensation: Some of the most powerful attentional training practices focus on tethering to body sensations, but which ones, and where? Find out how to anchor your attention for powerful sustained attention.

Absorption: The promise that is offered in most contemplative traditions is an experience of deep interconnectedness and ‘oneness’. Does this happen by accident, or is there a way to cultivate such happenings? Discover profound ways to transition from one pointed presence to absolute absorption toward the all of everything.

So, come and join us for 90 minutes of insight, instruction, and experience to help you access and integrate this depth of self-enquiry into your own life.

Practical info

These monthly virtual sessions are hosted by leading yoga nidra trainer James Reeves (www.restfulbeing.com) and delivered via Zoom. Full instructions/links to join are sent in your email confirmation. The event is also recorded and sent to everyone who registered - ideal if you can’t attend live and great to revisit the experience later.

We recommend that to prepare, you find a quiet place within your home (or wherever you may be) and create a 'rest nest' (blankets, cushions, relaxing smells, etc.,) ready to settle in and be guided into deep rest.

Tickets by donation with a suggested fee of £15 (but please do pay what you can afford)
