Deep Rest: A Day Of Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra

There are many reasons to deepen our resilience: to grow and flourish and become adaptable, restore our body and mind to their natural vibrancy, support us through transitionary times and get closer to our own truth, insight and knowing which supports us in making the right life choices.

Join Adelene Cheong and James Reeves as they guide you through practices of restorative yoga and Non Sleep Deep Rest (Yoga Nidra). You won’t need to have any experience in either of these techniques. You will find yourself exploring nourishing restful postures, relaxing in moments of stillness, and being guided into a state of deep, pure rest.

There will be two experiential Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra practices. Through these sessions, you will gain insight into how rest is not an optional luxury, but an essential part of living and being. You will discover how to observe your physiology shifting toward deep relaxation as we restore our nervous systems to a healthy balance.

Adelene will offer carefully put-together sequences that support this restoration, with a seamless transition into the guided yoga nidra sessions. (please note, these are not ‘Yoga Postures’ but restful postures. No Yoga experience or flexibility required!)

James will lead you on a journey to wholeness through the teachings of yoga nidra, a transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative inquiry that releases negative emotions and thought patterns, calms the nervous system and develops a deep capacity to meet and be at ease with life’s many challenges.

This event will be delivered via Zoom. Participants will have access to a video of the recording afterwards (via a private YouTube listing). Attendees will also be sent further resources to continue their practice at home.

Schedule (subject to change):

10.30-10.45 – welcome and intros

10.45-12.00 – restorative yoga

12.00-12.45 – yoga nidra

12.45-2.15 – lunch

2.15-3.30 – restorative yoga

3.30-4.15 – yoga nidra

4.15-4.30 – closing circle

We will record the sessions and keep them available for 21 days of access.

Be prepared to end the day feeling better friends with yourself; refreshed, relaxed and at ease.
