Inner Compass
As humans, we are all multifaceted, complex, and - at times - contradictory. Another way to say this is that we are all, in certain ways, lost in our own inner landscape. Being unclear about our core values, deepest desires and essential wishes for our life leaves us with an interrupted and disorganized internal navigation system. This month, we will spend time exploring these values as deeper intentions we hold not just for our practice of Deep Rest, but for the adventure of being alive itself. Get closer to your core self through this deep dive into finding your own true north.
Session 1: Setting Your Compass (8th November)
This first session will be focused on understanding the different components needed to set your compass: the South (Intention), the North (Vision), West (Values) and East (Actions), and how we bring all of these together to align toward a journey of deep inner knowing and trust.
Watch the zoom recording, or pick from the practices or talk to listen individually.
Session 2: Vision (15 November)
in order for us to travel in the right direction, we need to be clear and resolute in what we are headed toward. Learn how to create a vision, and that whilst we may never be able to fully reach our dreams, this does not mean that we discount them or give up on them. Create a vision that fills you with inspiration and a deep sense of completion, regardless of its possibility or reality.
Watch the zoom recording, or pick from the practices or talk to listen individually.
(Please note, due to temporary software issues, the separate audio practices are unavailable. Please use the zoom session on youtube and go to 7 mins for the short practice and 37 mins for the long practice)
Session 3: Values (22 Nov)
Our values help define what is important to us and keep us on track toward our true North. Explore what has meaning for you in terms of the codes by which you wish to live life, and the ways that you want to experience the world. The ethics, ideals, and morals that we hold dear can become very intentional and serve as touchstones to help us adjust our direction or stay on course. They are the lay lines and markers that attune our direction in life.
Watch the full zoom recording or pick from the practices or talk to listen individually (please note, due to a tech problem, the audio recordings are not available. Please listen to the zoom recording to tune in to the practices! We’ll have this fixed for you soon)
Session 4: Actions (29 Nov)
the final part of building a meaningful vision is about taking action. When we’ve aligned our Intentions and Values with our Vision, the actions we need to take become clear. Take time to contemplate and listen deeply to the steps you know deep inside you that you need to take.
Watch part 1 of the zoom recording, and then part 2 (sorry, tech blip!) or pick from the practices or talk to listen individually.
Tech issues still prevail with section out the audio practices. You can listen to the short practice at 5:15 through part 1 of the Zoom recording and the longer practice at 2:10 of Part 2. Apologies, I hope to have the tech sorted out soon!
